In the first TPA Horwath Newsletter in 2016 we would like to inform you about the Call for Applications for Irretrievable Financial Contribution to Support Industrial Research and Development Centres.
TPA Horwath has published the tax overview country series „Investing in… 2016”. In addition to „Investing in Slovakia 2016“, which already includes all changes as a result of the tax reform 2015/2016, the tax systems of Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia are also presented.
In the previous newsletters we informed you about the new provisions of the planned amendment to the Income Tax Act and to the VAT Act. The amendment to the Income Tax Act was published in the Collection of Laws of the Slovak Republic on 19 October 2015 and the amendment on VAT on 22 October 2015. No essential changes were made in comparison with the government bill about which we informed you in previous editions of our newsletter.
In the latest edition of the newsletter, we informed you about the proposals to implement the “thin capitalization” rule described in the Income Tax Act. The proposal has now undergone several changes and was brought to the first reading of the parliament in an amended form.
On 29 November 2014, an amendment to the Income Tax Act was published in the Collection of Laws.
